Hiding Page Title From Content Area In Joomla 1.6
Leave a comment »
Some times you do not want the Page Title to be displayed on the content page. To remove the page title from the specific page, use the following procedure:
- In this example you can see the page title "Test" which is also shown as the meta title tag for the specific page. We will use this to show how to remove the word Test from the Page Title area of your template.

- Log into Joomla as an administrator and select the menu that has the page you would like to remove the title from. In this example it's the About Joomla menu.

- Once the menu opens, select the page that you want to remove the title from. In this example it's the Getting Started page.

- On the right side of the page, select the Page Display Options tab.
- Once the tab opens up, set the Show Page Headings radio button to No.

- Save the page. Your page should now look like this. Notice that the Page Heading is no longer displayed by that the Title Tag is still working properly.
