Are you serious, Obama's goal is to take another $50 billion dollars and place it into rebuilding roads, railways, etc and he thinks that is going to stimulate the economy?  Yes, these things do need to be done but this isn't going to cover all of the unemployed, and most of these jobs are just about over with for the year.  Is this just a push to try and get people to vote democratic this upcoming election season?

I agree that roads need to be taken care of but think for a second, when do you see all of the orange signs on the road?  It is always in the summer because of the weather, and summer has just ended.  There is no other reason to bring this up now other than for votes.  I personally believe he is starting to reach for anything he can to save the Democrats because this is looking really rough for them right now.  I truly hope that they lose the House during these elections.  I do not want to see the Republicans winning both because I think they will also win the Presidential election the way things are going.

I know this may sound weird to everyone, since I am a Republican, but I do not want a Republican House, Senate and President at the same time, just like I don't want the Democrats having all three positions.  There needs to be checks and balances and when one has all the power bad things happen.  Look where the United States is now, we don't need any one group running the country.
