Well, I just found out that there is a new Google Chrome extension called Firebug Lite.  It doesn't have everything that Firebug has, but it is very close.  If you are looking for a firebug replacement in Google Chrome, try it: http://getfirebug.com/firebuglite.  I'm so glad because I have become addicted to Chrome and really don't want to revert back to other browsers for anything other than final site testing at this point.
